Strathmore Free Art Workshops!

Just heard about this, and the first class starts tomorrow, but our own Roz Stendahl, one of our blog authors, is offering one of them--of course, I signed up, immediately!  (Hers starts May 1.)

I believe they are self directed, but I'm intensely curious--and anything Roz is involved in is solid gold.  I'm sure I won't regret it, and I know you won't either...

You can find them at this link...

  1. Bad me. I found out about this a while ago and just assumed I was last to know. Sorry for not sharing! I'm signed up for Roz's class, too!

  2. How did you hear about them, Pam? One of my former students just happened to mention them to me yesterday...definitely the kind of thing we want to promote.

Um, Roz? Let us know about this kind of thing, please! And anyone else who is teaching journal information...you, Pam? Gay? Laure? Hannah? Maria? Jessica? Helloooooooooooooo?

  3. Back in October, I ran into a Strathmore rep at the SCAD (Savannah School of Art and Design) art trade show that told me. I told her about my disappointment with the freebie Strathmore Visual Journal (drawing paper) journal I won from Rice at Notes from the Voodoo Cafe. http://voodoonotes.blogspot.com/ Rice didn't care for the paper and neither do I - the majority of ink pens/markers smear!
And, the usually waterproof Pigma micron pens smear when hit with the waterbrush/watercolor. The rep gave me a mixed media book to try. - I'm experimenting and will blog about my findings..... a tad behind in that department, though.
